12:15 PM -- Arrival Staging Area
Long Branch Middle School, 350 Indiana Avenue, Long Branch

1 PM -- Parade Start
Approx. 2 miles - 
The parade starts at the Middle School. The route is as follows: Bath Avenue - right onto Broadway - right onto Morris Ave. - end at Morris Avenue School

About the Parade

The Columbus Day Parade has a long history in the City of Long Branch dating back to 1946, and therefore is the perfect setting for the parade because of the diverse nationalities that reside in this city. ​
What do you need to know?
  • In keeping with our philosophy, we welcome all makes and models of scooters and all makes and models of people. If you enjoy scooting, we enjoy your company - come for a ride with us - this is NOT a Vespa only event.
  • We will be parading as we were invited - a group - participation is a benefit of membership. Friends and family members are welcome to join us, however, this is not our event to promote outside of the group.
  • Feel free to go all out parade and decorate your scooter, helmet, outfit as outrageous as you like, however, be safe for yourself and everyone around you - nothing that will obstruct yours or other rider's views, no loose objects prone to flying off and no branded, political or offensive material - use common sense PLEASE!
    Traditionally an Italian themed holiday, either or both US and Italian flags are acceptable.
  • It is traditional to bring candy to throw out to children and onlookers - bring some if you can to make it more fun!
