Why we are here - Sponsorship and Structure
Monmouth Vespa has volunteered to sponsor the Jersey Shore Chaos Crew
The club needs a better structure in order to function and grow
Open Discussion - Positives and Negatives POSITIVES
Monmouth Vespa can act as an experienced mentor, having formed motorcycle clubs before - helping avoid pitfalls
Monmouth Vespa will provide a meeting space and incentives to the club in return for promotion and inclusion on JSCC material
Monmouth Vespa WILL NOT run JSCC, the club is currently, and will continue to run with the input of all members
Annual waivers and insurance information will be collected from all - this will insure that everyone you ride with covered and you are protected in the unfortunate event of an accident
We will be able to "do more" - dues will be collected and allocated to club events - example: improved website, parties, raffles, meals post-ride, etc.
We will get many new additional "quality" members - people who want to be part of the group and ride rather than lurk on Faceook
Annual dues (anticipated~$25)
Paperwork and legwork to get structure in place
We will lose existing "members"
We will become too large and lose the intimacy of our rides
What is in it for me?
Should we have a November ride? Will it be too cold? We will set up a ride to Cassolas Farms/Fox Hollow Vineyards for early November and leave it up to each individual whether they would like to attend. This will be the last group ride for the season.
Discussion after the meeting of a possible potluck Holiday Party - reaching out to see what options we may have and will look to form a "committee" to organize if we can do this
Charities we would like to support
All donated candy - two large bowls overflowing for Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude will be reaching out between 10/31 and 11/8 to give us the opportunity to personally deliver our donation and thank our local hometown heroes - they will make every effort to match us with a local Military Unit, First Responder Department of Veteran Organization in your area. We may or may not be able to turn this into a scooter ride. Stay tuned. If they can not match us with someone local, they will ship the candy to the Troops overseas.
Going forward, we would really like to support local charities and we are reaching out to see who our members may be affiliated with or want to support. Prefer food/clothing/needs drives that we can contribute to rather than cash donations. Please reach out with information and we can coordinate with you to associate this with our ride.
